They plan all the fun activities the college has for its students. And fun they have! Last year the SGA and had loads of fun activities on campus for the students. They had a True Virtual Reality booths, a 3-D interactive video game, Fun Flicks, a movie setting for the students to star in, and a great rock con cert. Each year the SGA sponsors the campus reception for freshmen on regis tration day. They are a great help to the community, too. Last year they partici pated in Walk America, Toys for Tots, the Adopt a School Program, and a clothes drive. SGA also sponsors intramural sports on campus. Being a part of the SGA can be a very rewarding experience for the student who wants to take an ac tive part in the activities that are planned for their school. Of course, there are edu cational trips for the members to learn just how to pull it all off In addition, SGA members acquire real and valuable skills, such as leadership, organization, time management, diplomacy, and personal skills ( all of which are sought after by potential employers!). Why not take a closer look at the SGA? Becoming a part of the SGA is very easy. Just join. To run for an office, all you have to do is get 25 of your friends to sign a petition that states that you would like to become an officer, turn it in to Kaylynn Horn, the SGA advisor, and your name will go on a ballot. Every student has an opportunity to vote! Pick up your petitions 9/9 - 9/18 and elections will be held on 9/23 and 9/24! Free nachos for all voters! You don't have to hold an office to join SGA! SGA MEETINGS ARE HELD EVERY THURSDAY AT 12:15 IN THOMPSON HALL ROOM 209! What's up with some of your SGA members? Let's find out! Questions asked: 1. What did you do over the summer? 2.
