More New Faces

Since our August issue, Wilkes Community College has added more new faculty and staff to its roster. The Cou
gar ('ry would like to welcome these new employees to the College and wish them a very happy experience while
they are here.
Konald Dollyhitc comes to Wilkes Community College from Catawba. He was previously employed as Catawba
Nursery Manager for Duke Power in Terrell, NC. He is Lead Instructor in Horticulture. He has earned Associates
Degrees in Agriculture Business, Agriculture Technology, and Horticulture from Surry Community College and
graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Technology.
Christopher Sowers comes to Wilkes Community College from Supply, NC, where he taught biology at Bruns
wick Community College, conducted environmental assessments, and worked as a researcher with the Gypsy
Moth Program through the NC Department of Agriculture. Mr. Sowers received his Bachelor’s and Master's De
grees in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Melissa Hope Roberson has been employed at Wilkes Community College (WCC) as an Accounting Clerk. She
is working to earn her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from
Wilkes C’ommunity College. She plans to graduate in May, 1999. Prior to coming to WCC, Ms. Roberson was
employed at Mrst Union National Bank as a credit adjuster.
'I'iiia Randleman Dula has been employed as Secretary/Documentation Specialist in the Job Training Partnership
Act (,H PA) Program. She received her General Office Technical Specialty Diploma from WCC in 1996 and has
been employed part-time with the college since that time.
Beth M. Foster lias been employed by WCC as a JTPA Case Manager in the Continuing Education Division. She
received her Associate in Science Degree from WCC and her Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Appalachian
State University.
Rebecca (Jreer has also been employed at the college as a JTPA Case Manager. She graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Mars Hill College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and History.
Allen Conley has been employed as a Custodian. Prior to coming to Wilkes Community College, Mr. Conley was
employed at American Drew. He is a graduate of West High School and a veteran who served in Desert Storm.
Janet Sink has been employed as Director of WCC’s Child Development Center. Mrs. Sink received her Bache
lor of Science and Masters Degrees in early Childhood Education from Appalachian State University. Prior to
employment with the college, Mrs. Sink was employed as a Title I Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Union Elemen
tary School.
Also newly employed at WCC in the Child Development Center are:
Susan Euliss, a Lead histructor. She has been a part-time teacher in the Center since 1996. She is a graduate of
Wilkes Community College with a degree in Horticulture. She is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Pro
gram here at Wilkes.
Jennie Handy is also a Lead Instructor. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development from
Appalachian State University. She was previously employed as a teacher assistant at Millers Creek Primary
School.
Stephanie McMillan is a Lead Instructor in the Child Development Center. She achieved an Associate Degree in
l-:arly Childhood Development from Wilkes Community College and was previously employed here as a part-
time employee.
