As students who wish to get the most from college we must sup port the various college organiza tions. These organizations, in or der to be of any benefit whatever, must charge sufficient fees to de fray their necessary expenses. Before joining a society or the Y. M. C. A. we find out what the membership fee will be. Before we subscribe for the college paper we ask the subscription price. And this year the boys voted the athletic fee upon themselves. Every student then knows what his fees for the year will amount to and when they are due so why should we not count them as nec essary expenses and pay them on time rather than postpone their payment until the last possible moment. A good example of our tendency is to be found in the payment of the athletic fee this year. Al though we voted this live dollar* fee on ourselves with only eight dissenting votes and with the un derstanding that it would bo due on November 7, so many of the boys have not yet paid this fee that the vigilance committee has been forced 1o post a warning that those who have not paid will be debarred from the use of all ath letic equipment. For those boys for whom it has been very inconvenient to pay this fee up to the present time I have no word of condemnation, but for those who could have paid and have not, this is an attempt to make you realize your negligence and correct it. ZATASIAN NOTES. The programmes of Hie last three meetings of the Zatasian So ciety have been brief, but enter taining. We And that the one who talks the longest does not al ways say the most; and, for that reason, we sometimes give our speakers a limited time in which lo give their debates or other as signments. We have been having questions for debate that are of present-day interest. Our mem bers show their ability to discuss questions which were, a little while ago, considered outside the realm of woman's interest. We were delighted to have as visitors, at our last meeting, two old Zatasian members. A committee was appointed to bring forward names for new of ficers at the next meeting. Some of our members, who real ize that we cannot live on mental feasts alone, have been giving us good things to eat and drink after the adjournment of society. PERSONALS. Messrs.
