As the mighty hand of time brings to pass many events, so it has brought to a close another school year. And now as we are made to realize this fact there arises In our minds various questions con cerning our record as students, dur ing the past year. Probably the question that confronts us more than any other at this time is, "I wonder if I passed all of my work." Each individual can answer this question for himself. If you have prepared each day's lesson as you should, if you have been eager to at tend all of your classes instead of wishing that you could cut them or in other words, if you have actually done your best toward passing you* work then your question is favor ably answered. If not, then you must take the consequences. The question as to outside duties also presents itself to us. The various associations have needed your help and co-operation. Have you been willing and eager to do your part toward making them a success and also a credit to the college? These questions afd many others loom up before us and we are made to feel in our consciences a gnawing regret which makes us say, "I wish I had this year to go over again, I would do it better." Of course you would, but it is too late now to sigh. The last recitation is ended, the last blue book has been handed in. All of our work, whether good or bad, Is behind us. If there is any feeling of dissatisfaction on our part, now is the time to make resolutions for amending these matters and get ready to do better work next year. And now since we must say good bye to our college for a while and go to our respective homes, we should not forget, during our ab sence, to bear in mind the interests of Guilford. First of all, let us "boost" our college! Let us lay aside the little things that have gone contrary to our wishes during the past year and let us see and speak of only the good that Guilford af fords. If your friends are slow in realizing the impoitance of attend ing college, you can be a co-worker by convincing them that college training is essential. So let each one of us strive to see who can bring to college next year the most students, and in accomplishing this we will have done a double duty, that of helping somebody and also helping our college which we claim to love. HENRY CLAYS AWARD IM PROVEMENT MEDAL A special session of the Henry Clay Literary Society was called Thursday evening, May 24, for the purpose of presenting the improve ment medal.
