On Saturday night, January 17, 1920, the Guilford College basket ball team registered its second vic tory of the season by defeating the Greensboro Y. M. C. A. team 33 to 30. The game was exciting almost from the start to finish, but the un certainty of the outcome of the game rather than spectacular playing or admirable team work held the sup porters of each team in suspense. Greensboro started the scoring, and for the first few minutes of play held the lead. The lead was wrested from the "Y. M." boys in the first half by the excellent shooting of Fra zier, who during this period sent six field goals and four foul goals into the basket. McCauley for the Greensboro team scored five field goals in this period. The first half ended with the score 19 to 20 in Guilford's favor. Both teams put forth a little more effort in the beginning of the second half. The only real basket ball spirit of the whole game was shown in the last three minutes of play. Zachary's shooting at this time sav ed the game for the Quakers. Line-up: Guilford. Position. Greensboro.
