Sports Lady Quakers End Hard Season By Fiona Clem The Lady Quakers finished a tough season on Saturday, Feb. 20 by los ing to Catawba on the road. The season ended with a 10-16 record overall and a 5-11 conference record. The Lady Quakers are seeded 7th in the con ference tournament and will play Pembroke. "We are in a good posi tion," Coach Jerry Corn well said. "But we will have to play a 40 minute game. We lose the game in the last 6-10 minutes and we can't afford to do that. We have played some of our best basketball against Pembroke and we'll need everyone to play well and perform." Noticeable loses to next years line-up will be Felicia Mosley and Lisa Ward. Mosley a 6-0 center and Ward a 5-11 forward are both graduating. "Both have been assets to the team," Cornwell commented. "They work hard and have good at titudes. They both will be missed." English Athletic Leadership Awards Ban quet. The ceremony, which was held in Founders Hall, was attended by coaches and other members of the Athletic Department, and the seven chosen athletes, many of whom were ac companied by their parents.
