THE GUILFORDIAN September 25, 1989
Amy Weidig, a junior who worked in Spokane, Wash
ington, joined because she wanted "something challeng
ing and exciting to do over the summer." A challenge is
what most students get, as many work 13 hours a day, six
days a week, sometimes dealing with hostile and unrea
sonable customers. Most feel it's worth it, though.
Weidig felt that "it was a good experience for me. I
brought back a lot of important skills and learned how to
control my emotions when dealing with people. Basi
cally, I learned how to be a professional." _
