Skvttmbtx 3, 1993 Football legend back on gridiron Kiley Holder Sports Editor Calvin Hunter, holder of 13 Guilford football records and one of the school's all-time greatest quarterbacks, has made his return to Armfield Athletic Center... as an assistant coach for the Quak ers. Hunter graduated from Guil ford College two years ago and went to Georgia Southern Univer sity to pursue a Masters degree in Sports Management, in the area of Facilities Management. In his senior year, (1991) Hunter led the Quakers as quarterback and played an enormous part in the team's rise to championship status. "I was supposedly the offensive threat coming back," said Hunter. "It didn't really matter to me ex actly how my year went. I just wanted to win. Hunter also expressed that it was great to be back, but said that his work with Guilford's football pro gram will probably be short-term. "It's pretty nice. I'm just here this year,...eventually I want to get into high school athletics-coach ing, that sort of thing. But it was good to be back." Hunter said he works mainly with the receivers on the team, but naturally he helps the quarter backs, as well as running backs. This summer, Hunter completed an internship with the Greensboro Coliseum.
