ffifje (gudtoririan 2 NEWS LINE Science building site proposed The $5.2 million proposed sci ence building has a site selec tion, according to Art Kopscak,director of facilities and planning. The Facilities Committee chose the site between Dana Auditorium and Worth House II last Friday. "This site reinforces the mix ing of functions across the cam pus [and provides] a prominent and attractive location." "It docs not commit the col lege to significant rearrangement of road and parking areas or re quire the renewal of buildings, nor does it preempt a broader academic facilities study cur rently underway." Guilford listed among best schools Guilford was listed as number 120 in U.S. News & World Report's best national liberal arts eol leges. "The U.S. News ranking com bines a school's academic repu tation with data on its students, faculty, financial resources and alumni satisfaction," according to the Oct. 4, 1993, issue. Bomb threat false A bomb threat was called in to security at 5:21 p.m. Mon day, Art Kopscak said. The caller said that the bomb had been placed in the library and would detonate in an hour. The library was cleared within minutes and searched by adult staff members in conjunction with the Greensboro Police Dept. No evidence of any explo sive device was found, and the library was reopened twenty minutes after the indicated time of detonation. Yearbook format forum Monday The Quaker will host a forum to discuss format changes which kept the yearbook's budget from being approved in Senate, ac cording to co-editor Kelly George. The forum at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallery is to let everyone know about format changes including switching to a periodical which will be held in a protective bind ing box.
