Jfefawarp 25,1994 Spring sports ready to commence Baseball Coach Robert Fulton and the base ball team are ready to take control over the diamond once again, hoping to break a school record by being ODAC champions for the third year in a row. Coming off a 30-12 record in 1993, the players and coaches are looking for another solid performance in '94. In order for the team to be potent in its di vision, the pressure is on the five pitch ers "to throw well and throw a lot of innings," said Coach Fulton. Because of the team's loss of four dominating pitchers, his goal of being a "potential contender" is realistic if the pitching staff stays injury-free. Offensively, Fulton says the team will not be a base-stealing threat, but adds that this should not hinder the team's production. Sophomore Tommy Bohrer, one of the key components of the pitching staff, said "Our chances at winning are excellent, as long as we practice hard and keep working every day." He also likes the team chemistry, noting that there is a "good mixture" of experience. The home opener will be on Wednes day, March 2, against N.C. Wesleyan at 3:00 pm.
