Guilford's Student Union has
planned many activities for this
semester. In fact, there are already
over fifty events planned, includ
ing concerts, dances, recreational
activities and a lecture.
Andy Swanson, the Student
Union president, wants to have
enough going on so that there is
"no excuse for having nothing to
do."
This year the Student Union is
co-sponsoring, with Tri Beta Bi

Gerry Ellis will be presenting his
lecture, "Great Apes," on Septem
ber 13.
The Student Union is also go
ing to be sponsoring several regu
lar events. Coffeehouses will be
held on Thursday nights, while
every other Tuesday night they
will host a planned recreational
event such as roller skating, bowl
