"~ : IV 1 * * Students unite to create a yearbook THE CALL WENT our FOR EDITORS to take on the project of generat ing a yearbook to commemorate the 1995-6 year at Guilford. Two seniors, Ann Sutter and Terrence Laster, have answered that call. With the help of faculty advisor Susie Clark and layout advisor Derek Harwell, the Quaker will be published. The yearbook will be a commu nity effort involving the work of as many students as possible. Co editor Terrence Laster stresses that the publication is not geared to be just a senior book and that the help of all students is welcomed and encouraged. Unlike the yearbooks of the past two years, this year's edition will be small and have a traditional one-volume format. It will be di Susan Allen features editor features vided into seven sections focusing on faculty, clubs and organizations, seniors and graduation, THE QUAKER volunteerism, housing, candids, and events and sports. Each section will be assigned to a team of students who will be re sponsible for writing the copy, tak ing the pictures and preparing the layout for that section. That's where you come in. Many The Guilfordian students will be needed to mini mize the strain put on any particu lar person. Terrence and Ann know how busy they are, and how busy you are. For this reason everyone is invited to help carry the load and produce something of which Guil ford can be proud. The onus will also be put on in dividual clubs and organizations, who will be provided with dispos able cameras to take their own pic tures. This too will help include more individuals in the process. Another positive aspect of this style of staff is the broader view of campus that it can afford. The more students involved, the more sides of campus life that can be portrayed. Each person has a slightly different experience at Guilford to share. A meeting will be held this Sun day, November 18, at 6 PM in the Passion Pit Come out to make this year's Quaker the best it can be. 9
