Minutes
•Senate would like to congratulate the
new executives for Senate next year:

•Inter Club Council allocated $250 to the
Psychology Club to bring Mark Leary, a
well known writer on social-psychology,
to campus to speak. Read the Buzz for
more details on date/location.
•Senate heard and accepted the allocation
of $660 for the Science and Social Respon
sibility Conference. Four students will be
attending the conference, which will focus
on ethics of the sciences. The students plan
to present the information they learn to
the campus (TBA).
•Senate heard a proposal from The Pines
for a potential Earth Day Festival on Earth
Day, April 22nd. Potential activities in
cluded Hula-Hoop competitions, pull-up
competition, juggling, potato sack races,
recycling games and hands. Senate will
decide on the proposal next week.
•Clay Harshaw is looking for writers to
help with the organization of the First
Year Advisory text books for next year. In
an effort to make the text more desirable
for students, the book will focus on being
successful inclusively to Guilford College.
Anyone interested in helping, please con

•Senate talked about the divisions of mon
etary funds for next year. The arrangement
will promote more structure and more di
verse events and activities on campus next
year.

will be cut! Budget hearings will be held
April 16th-19th. Contact Will Vormelker
