SOCIETY KIRKMAN-DIXON The wedding of Miss Geraldine Drew Kirkman and Thomas Marion Dixon was solemnized Saturday aft ernoon, February the first, at 4 o’eloek at the Home Moravian church with Bishop Edward Rond- thaler and Dr. J. K. Pfohl officiat- ^riie bride is the only daughter of Mr, and Mrs. George Kirkman. She attended Salem College and Acad- Mr. Dixon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar \V. Dixon, and is con nected with the R. J. Reynolds To bacco Company. He attended the University of North Carolina. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple will leave for a trip north and upon their return will be at home at 2081 Craig Street. PERSONALS Mrs. Chase Going Woodhouse, prominent and widely experienced in vocational guidance work, deliv ered an address at the expanded chapel hour Wednesday and was the guest of the college for the day. Mrs. T. Holt Haywood of Win ston-Salem, an alumna of Salem Col lege and a member of the board of trustees made a talk in chapel Thursday, the 6th, which is Foun der’s Day. She was also a guest at the Trustee banquet Thursday night. Salem College wishes to extend a lieartv welcome to all alumnae, trus tees and friends who have returned to celebrate Founder’s Day with us and are helping us to make it suc cessful. The Normal Training Class of Miss Helen Fuller spent Wednesday at N. C. C. W. observing parallel work and courses there.
