A ROADSTER AND FIVE
Perhaps our grandmothers with
their spaee-tilling frills and furbe
lows made the Christmas journey
home in a coach and six^ but certain
of tlieir modern descendants made
the trip in a roadster and five (girls,
horscij, we’re glad to report),
e might comment on the lack of
glamour, but after all, what is glam
our so long as we haven’t a “public”
Despite the elixir of joy that
courscd through their veins and de-
sj)itc the weeks of dreaming of their
return to Florida where, the adver.
tistmcnts tell us, there is never a
chill wind or a gloomy day, the bit
ing coldness penetrated the sides of
the roadster and the Fiv'e. ’Tis
agreed that elixir is quite delightful,
but frozen elixir is, to say the least,
a bit stiff.
M— S— went a-sailing,
P— F- - the sport adored;
Others thought they’d gone
a-whaling
When M— S— fell overboard!
After this happening was reported
to us, we’ve decided that it might be
fatal to let our school chums
again to that uncivilized land—think
of all the water, not to mention alli
gators and bears (beg pardon, that’s
the North Woods article I’m think
ing about!) they have left in Flor
ida. Welcome back, my dears.
Wt'’re so glad to have you back all
