Charles and Noland demonstrated excellent ability and agileness at their forward posts; thus making the Frosh team practic ally impenetrable. ISinder came to the front in the Reserve game, doing the spectacular scoring for her Junior team. Meadows and Little did exception ally good work for the Freshies. The 1 3 up: First Game the year 1934. The sophs are ‘unde feated so far—a wonderful record for an under class—but the seniors have lost only one major game and mighty anxious to keep that record of championship they won as juniors. The deciding game of Wednesday night between the freshies and the sophs gave the seniors their privilege of playing in the championship game, but for awhile it looked as tho’ those little Freshmen were coming right on top in an upset of the season. Monday night, unless the present plans are changed there will be the annual basketball banquet at which the winning team receives the cup and the varsity is announced. Charles (4) . WILL ROGERS DAVIDHARUM JUNIOR-SENIOR BASKET BALL GAME The Seniors defeated the Juniors in a hard-fought game Monday after noon by a score of 38 to 10. Thi* beniors, working smoothly, gained the lead and held the front through the entire game. In the second game, which followed almost immediately the first one, the Seniors brought into action a strong liant shooting game piling up a score defense because they wanted viery much to play in the final game for the cup and they realized that the score of that game would either give them an opportunity to do so. or take away that opportunity. Senior guards, playing the impene trable defense of Pollock, Petree and Biles, played a hard, cooperative, and spirited game. Both man-to-man and triangular defense was used. Both teams were weak in pass-work and accurate shooting. The second team’s game was a hard er fought contest than the score board showed. Sophomores playing Kirby, McNew, and McNeely as forwards, piled up an excessive score of 45 over the Sen iors’ 17. McNeely, accurate shooter, led the scoring for her team. Motsinger, beginning the game as guard, was transferred to the posi tion of forward in the last quarter, rapidly running up a lead in scoring. Ashburn replaced Motsinger as guard. Grimes and Hadley displayed good possibilities at their guard positions. The line-up was as follows: First Game Seniors (29) Pos. (45) Soph. Leake (10) (18) Best P. Holloman (5) (6) Scales P.
