Sudden ly we found ourselves above a green field on which ware dashing here and there little dots of red, yellow, black, and white. First the dots would spread out evenly, two moving toward the center of the field; then we saw a tiny white speck, roll thru the green. All the dots dashed mad ly after the white speck, wham ming sticks right and left. Then one yellow dot pushed the white speck out to the side, and carried it to the end of the field, where upon the dots resumed their first positions. This little tableau was a hockey game at Salem College, viewed from above. Not from Coach: Lady, if that ball can be seen from an airplane, it must have done some tall growing since last year. I think the players had difficulty in seeing it, themselves, from a distance of about four feet. Wo are looking forward to a gigantic hockey season, if we can judge by the increase in size over last year’s ball.
