THE SALE MITE
THE PATSY” A GREAT
SUCCESS
After li.Tviiig seen Mary Penn as
“The Patsy” win the lieart of Cliar-
io Jenkinfs as “]jong^ Anderson” un
der iiis own careful direction on who
to get the man j'oii love most of us
feel that we are fuUy callable of
conquering the greatest woman-ha;tcr
in the world. These lessons alone
were worth the price of admission
to say nothing of seeing Bushy Mc
Lean storm and rage at Mr. John
Fries Blair and Mr. Blair take it.
How we learned to love tlie poor
little mistreated Patsy and to hate
her sister Grace in the short hour
and a half. We lived witli the peo
ple in the pla-y their lives in a very
different manner from the way they
are really lived. We suffered with
Patsy in her ups and downs and
laughed at her attempts to learn to
l>e the “life of the party” through
studying the set of books w'hich she
ordered, and wondered for a while if
she thought that she was Alice-in-
wonderlaiid l)ecause she kept saying
in a dazed fashion “There’s no use
crying over spilt milk because there
two many tears in it all ready” and
“.\1I the world’s a stage, but most
of Us are only stage hands.”

HOW NOT TO UGHT A BRIDGE TABLE
Think of trying to play bridge by the light of two candles, stuck in
bottle tops. Yet that is the equivalent of the light in many homes
—■ a level of illumination that will make any party drag.
For gayer, livelier parties, use an indirect portable lamp. It pro
vides the ideal light shadowless and glareless — for playing bridge
and other games in comfort . . . and an equally efficient light for
a quiet evening of reading.
Phono Southern Public Utilities Co. and ask for a free demonstration
of the new type direct-indirect lamp in your home.

EDWARD KENT, '36-GEOLOGY STUDENT.
Edward Kent knows the value of a full re
serve of natural, vibrant energy. And that’s
one of the reasons why he sticks to Camels.
In his own words; "It takes a lot of hard
work to acquire any thorough knowledge of
geology—and a lot of energy. It’s tiring at
times, but like most of the fellows around
here, I have found that smoking a Camel
cheers me up ... chases away all fatigue...
gives me diat 'lift’ in mental alertness and
physical well-being which I need to be able
to go on working with renewed energy.”
