Wednesday, February 27, 1935. Page Three MISS LAWRENCE RETURNS (CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) View in Seeking a. Job. ’ ’ Miss Jean Ij. Shepherd, head of conference of fice of Maeey’s in New York, spoke on ‘‘Facta as Employers Find I’heni. ” This was most interesting in view of the fact that Miss Shep herd interviews every girl who seeks work at Macey’s. The point of view of the girl was discussed very ade quately by a graduate of Mt. Holy (ike College. The State meeting of Deans will he held in Winston-Salem in March. Miss Lawrence enjoyed her week end stay in New York very much following the Atlantic City meeting. While there she visited friends in the Cosmopolitan Woman’s Club. She also had the opportunity of talking with one of our favorite Salem alum nae, Phyllis Noe of the class of ’35, who is now working in Lord and Taylors. She sent her best love to her friends and best wishe.s for the graduation of her classmates. Most any girl can make a man look sheepish merely by pulling the wool over his eyes. | yABBY QeRTIE ANSWERS “No kid wants to wash every timi he gets a dirty look.” Alexican Valcano. Inner Ear.
