She then explained how she at
tained such speed and accuracy. For
three years she has practiced from
four to five hours a day—not the
hunt and i>eck system, either. Work,
ambition, and ingenuity took her
where she wanted to go. Hint to
you wise business and otherwise
•students.
Miss Paulina is the agent for the
Underwood Typing Company. She
is now on a demonstration tour
through Washington, New York,
and Boston to give inspiration to
other striving Business Students.
May I add that Miss Barrow has
noted remarked improvement in her
typing classes. She hopes that the
inspiration will last full force until
the deserved certificates are issued.
Who knows but that one of us
will be taking Miss Paulina’s place
next year, or well, in two or three
vcars.

“Campus Comments” certainly
enfolds a mass of wonder lusts, no
tice I don’t say wander lusts. Some
of the girls at Mary Baldwin are ac
tually wondering why some of the
girls are modeling heads of their fav
orite boy friends. Why Lohengrin
will get exorcise this summer with
whom it may concern, and I expect
if they don’t know all the answers
they’ll still be wondering— sez me.

“I’M AIMING TOWARD the statistical end of the in
surance business,” says Whiting, ’35. "And is it a job!
Higher mathematics and their practical application,
slide rules, logarithms... all jumble up when I’m tired.
Another thing: I have a job at night — sometimes don’t
get a chance to study until I’m through. But a Camel
helps to keep me going—and I can concentrate again
and feel wide awake. Camels are never harsh to my
throat. They are mild and gentle, yet have a marvel
ous flavor —a flavor that never tires my taste. I am a
steady smoker, but Camels never disturb my nerves.”
