BEAUX AND ARROWS SENIOBS Looks like the Seniors are start ing out early this year — Glanville couldn’t wait 'til Thanksgiving — so he came all the way from Bal timore to see Mary Ven last week end . . . Wlmt was all of the noise bumping down the road in front of Senior building last Sunday! Heard it was the Martinsville treo in “Ella the Ford.” Lucky girls Virginia, Ella Walker, and Kather ine . , . Lib JN^orfleet had a man on each arm last Thursday! more pow er to you, gal . . . We havje been in school hardly a week, ,but Henny has already been home. We hear it was a wedding this time. JUNIOR Well, hello Joe! What do you know? Do you know about the smart little Junior girls who did so well by themselves this summer? . . . Yep, Kelly Ann came back with a Pi Kappa Phi pin that she got, we hear, “on the back seat” . .0. And did you know that Frankie is pinned up to a Phi Gam; J. B., we presume . , . and how about those Saint Mary’s girls? Helen Holt has a Sigma Nu pin and Anna Flo we, :i Kappa Sig . . , Just incidentally, we hear that Lyell decided Saturday night to keep on being “the sweet heart of Sigma Chi” . . . Dobbins doesn’t just move from man to man. It’s from orchestra leader to the king of swing. It’s Benny Goodman now! . . . evidently Sassy made a big bow at the debutante ball; that is, if specials and lunch and dinner dates mean anything . . . Well, salutations and felicitations to the Queen of Orange Crush — none other than our own Katharine King, the “Miss Popularity of Leaksville-Spray ” . . . but have you seen the six gorgeous red roses in Babbie’s room. Six means something to Harry . . . For goodness sake, what did Louise do to Clem Saturday night? . . . Patter son, we heard something about a recent crack-up. It wasn’t a plane crash, was it? . . . Look, there’s a skeleton in Nell’s closet. We just don’t understand all we hear about this Willis and his solo night flight at the Durham “airport” — tsk, tsk . , . things just don’t add up right. Claude and Esther; Claude and New York and Katharine — ??? . . . and little Emily wants all you girls to know that she’s “some body’s sweetheart.” Now tell us whose. Miss McCoy . , . Wilson tells us that knees were “cracking like kindling wood” in At’s Russian ballet classes this week. We’ve seen you juniors hobbling around now, too, after an apparently exerciselesa summer, of course — you spent all your time fraternity-pin collecting! SOPHOMORE Will Rock Lake have its sam» Life Guard next summer. Button? . . . Ain’t it awful when your roommate visits you and vamps your old stand by? How do you feel about it, Mickey? . . . Was it because he said a lot or just the big words he used that made Stan’s letter lack enough postage, Emily? . . . No matter whether he’s at Oak Ridge or Princeton, Salem still attracts Ed. . . . Montreat and Davidson must have been great, Wyatt . . . Why have you been keeping your brother hid, Alice — bring him out some time . , . So, you have a lot behind you, Fitzy?
