Page Four. THE SALEMITE Friday, March I, 1940. Ath-a-letic Sal It seemed like old times to see Lil- lian Lanning back in the line-up for the Juniors Tuesday night. Prom the way she was playing you’d nev er think she had been laid up all these weeks with a cracked arm— And from the resulting score we’d say she really gave her teammates the needed inspiration. Eleanor Hutchison was heard to say that she “just couldn’t sleep the night befprc or the night after a game.” If this has anything to do with the way she plays maybe some of the rest of us should start losing a little sleep. Incidentally, Eleanor, we’re sorry about that sprained ankle of yours and hope it will be all right in time for the next game. The attendance at the games has been exceptionally good, and with the cheering some of you give your teams wa hardly see how they could miss winning. It’s a nice feeling to know that the class is behind you, no matter what . . . Found: One $10.00 bill. Owner please form in front of Bond Hall. He: Bet a dime I can kiss you without touching you.
