By Ann Ewing Although the past few days do not verify it, we all know that spring is just around the corner. Along with spring will come our annual badminton tournament, and along with this we will find our budding ‘ ‘ badmintonists.’ ’ We now have the gym open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2:30 until 4:00; so why not grab yourself a racket, a pair of ten nis shoes, and a partner, and run on down to the gym to get that good old invigorating experience. For those who don’t know how to play, get up a foursome and learn; it takes little or no effort. For fur ther particulars see Buth Schnedl, our badminton manager. Until then practice hard and see what you can do in the tournament. The drink everybody knows DRINK DUKE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF NURSING DT7EHAM, N. O. (Selected) Read Your College Newspaper SYSTEM OF BASKETBALL PRACTICE CHANGED After much thought and con sideration concerning basketball practice, it has been decided by the physical education department that each class should have two practices a week for their own. This plan has been worked out to help the classes develop teams which have played together at practice. However, this does not mean that on the days the seniors have practice no one else can come. On the contrary the de partment wants other players to come. It would be useless for the seniors to have a practice if they did not have any opponents. Heretofore it seems that players on the same team never came to practice on the same days. Hiss Atkinson feels that this new plan will eliminate this unfortunate situation. Every player should con sult the blackboard in the gymnas ium as to the specific day on which her team will practice. The fuU co-operation of every student is solicited to carry out this program. Let’s show our ap preciation to Miss Atkinson for her interest and helpfulness by putting this over. This bookTOBACCOLAND*U*S*A* gives thousands of smokers like yourself the facts about tobacco and..
