First Night Comments
Dot Arrington: Well who did it?
It can’t be Mary, because ev^ery-
thing points to her. Euby Moye:
Then it must be Hatley or the
radio announcer, or maybe Gaither
killed her with the javelin.
Kuth Hayes: Is the curtaiu closing?
Is the curtain closing? Is the cur
tain closing?
First Balloon (a climatic boom
expected): Poof. Second Balloon:
Pfff.
Barbara Folger (missing a cue at a
crucial moment): Let’s eat.
Dale Smith: Even Kemtone would
help that horrible set.
Janie-MulhoUem: I still cried tears
in the last act.
Professor: That’s a lovely dress, is
it hers?
Mr. Weinland: Say, they’re good.
The straw that broke the illusion:
Boots Lambeth, the corpse supposed
ly prone in the closet with Rigor
Mortis, seen outside the Day Stu
dent Center sipping a coke between
acts.
