Wesley Snyder Elected
To Head Men Students
Wesley Snyder was elected presi
dent of tlie Men’^ Organization at
Salem at a meeting Thursday.
Other officers elected‘were: Homer
Sutton, vice-president; Tomm^ Dis
tabile, secretary; and Henry Higt-
smith, treasurer.

The men students began their act
ivities Friday, September 12, with
the registration of all new students.
Monday night at 6 p. m. the new
men students were special guests at
a dinner in Corrin Hall honoring
all new students. After the dinner
they met with Dr. Jordan, faculty
advisor of the Men’s Student Gov
ernment Association, in their own
quarters. Further activities have
been planned for the future.
New men students for 1947-48 in
clude William Charles Baucom, Dan
iel Hodge, George Melville, Jr., and
George E. Waynick, Jr., all of Win-
ston-Salem; and William Phillip
Long, Germanton.

Club Elects
Peggy Gray
Peggy Gray was elected president
of the French club for 1947-48 at a
call meeting last Friday. Other of
ficers elected were as follows; vice-
president, Joan Hassler; secretary,
Collette Spiegelberg; treasurer, Betty
Earnhardt.

completed French 104 are invited to
join the club and attend the first
meeting next Monday night.
