This traditional singing of “The Mes siah ’ ’ is sponsored by the Mozart Clut) and represents the opening of the Christmas season in Winston- Salem, The large chorus will be composed of approximately 210 voices and four soloists. A small- group of Salem students have also shown an active interest and will participate in the performance on Sunday. Ten Atrocious Salem Hags Win Chesterfield Fags by P. The program Sunday is under the direction of Grady Miller, assisted by Paul Eobinson at the organ. Before the program begins, Mr. Eobinson will play a half hour of Handel’s music, thus setting the stage for the performance to follow. Everyone is reminded of the large crowd that will be attending and the necessity of going early to get a seat. WritingContest Is Postponed Because of term papers and tlie Christmas rush the Salemite is post poning the deadline for its writing contest until Monday, January 17th. This will give contestants extra time during the holidays to work on their entries. Winners will be announced in the first issue of the Salemite after exams.
