Ee- Yes, basketball season is slogan, “All the way dust off the basketballs and open the gym here at last. The different class teams have already been practicing and the first game will be announced soon. I have been hearing some bang-up re ports about the Freshman class. It seems they are going to have a team that won’t be stopped this year. Naturally this is only a challenge to all the other classes. At a Sopho more practice last week (of course, I’m partial!) I noticed that Shirley Baker, Cacky Pearson, and Cathe rine Ann Pleasants are players that we will be watching throughout the season. From all indications the Junior team still has the strength and power that they had last year in spite of the fact that several of their players aren’t back. As for the Seniors, we may call them old or we may call them ‘ ‘ decre- pits” but they certainly came thro ugh with flying colors in the hockey games. Only time will tell; who knows what the outcome of the bas ketball games will be? You will want to be there whether you are playing, sitting on the bench, or clieering in the grandstand. Beverly Johnson, basketball ma nager, has announced the managers for the class teams as follows: Fresh man, Ann Sprinkle; Sophomore, Jane Hart; Junior, Lynn Marshall; Sen ior, Molly Darr. Posters have been put up outside the dining room giving a list of the people who have almost enough points for a letter or for a star. Now here is a list of all the people who were not on that list.
