On February 3rd a silver service was presented to Salem College as the twenty-fifth anniversary gift of the Class of 1924. This was given as a memorial to one of the mem bers of the Class of 1924, the late Blanche Stockton. Miss Stockton was dietitian at Salem from 1932 until 1948 and the service is so engraved. The Class of 1924 initiated the silver service at a tea in the Pre sident’s House on February 3rd. Both the faculties of Salem Aca demy and College and the Class of 1950 were invited to the tea. A number of out of town members ffof ’24 came for this occasion and the local members served as host esses. Mrs. Rondthaler poured from the service which is to be kept in the President’s House and used for college functions. Alumnae House Receives Gift The Alumnae House has received the gift of a silver service and two dozen 1810 silver coffee spoons. This gift was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vogler of Winston- Salem. The service was first used when Mr. Richard Lauterbach visited Salem last fall. Since then it has been used by the International Re lations Club on International Day, and by the Alumnae on several occassions.
