department af Salem and praised
some of its most outstanding pro
fessors. He' further commented
that he looked forward to the
future usefulness of the building.
The new science building is the
nineteenth building to be added to
Salem, which is now in its 178th
year.
Open House was held at Salem

p.m. honoring Dr. Gramley. A re
ception in Corrin Refectory from
8:00 until 10:00 p.m. closed the
activities of the day.
Louise Stacy Will Wed
Hugh Reams On June 17

Stacy of Lumber ton have an
nounced tlie engagement of their
daughter, Louise, to Hugh Ether-
ton Reams, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Glenn H. Reams of Toledo, Ohio.
The wedding will take place June
17.
Louise is a member of the Class
of 1950, and this year has served
-;s President of the Student Gov
ernment. She has also been a
m e m b e r of the Pierettes and a
Feature Girl. This year Stacy has
been a member of the Order of the
Scorpion, Who’s Who, and the 1950
May Court.
.After the w'edding Stacy and
Hugh plan to make their home in
Kingsport, Tennessee.
