West Germany and Denmark.
On Tuesday, October 10 Mr. Gor
don Grey of Winston-Salem, for
mer Secretary of the Army and
now special assistant to President
Truman in charge of foreign eco
nomic policy,' was formally installed
as president of the University of
North Carolina. Many delegates
from universities, colleges and edu
cational societies took part in the
colorful academic procession at the
North Carolina State College Cole-
sium in Raleigh at 10:30 a. m. The
formal installation of Mr. Gray as
the new university president fol
lowed immediately.
