Dear Santa, Please bring Clara Justice the Rosetta Stone so she will be able to translate Egyptian hierogly phics in order to introduce vari ation in her Spanish classes at Gray High School. Winkie Harris wants a roulette table and a green eyeshade for dull nights during the week. Anne M o s e 1 y, star education major, wants to go back to the William and Mary game next year under the exact same circumstan ces. Fay Stickney wants De Abelard’s book, "BRAIN CONCUSSIONS AND THEIR USES”—in case of future Army-Navy games. All the girls on second floor are begging for heaters and electric blankets for their drafty rooms. Betty Leppert wants a tennis racket, hockey sticks, golf clubs, a javelin, and polo mallets so she can get out of shape during the holidays. Emmy Rowland wants an invita tion to Spring Frolics at Pilgrims Bible College. Betty Gwen Beck and Ann Spen cer want extended visits from Dr. Welch and Mrs. DeBardelaben and any other heads of departments to see if they are applying education to everyday life—during the holi days. Cammy Lovelace wants ten vol umes of the Bach Brandenburg concertos in her stocking. Sis Pooser’s wants are quite sim- pel. She has her heart set on a shiny new annual. Sis Hines wants a pogo stick in case she ever has to go out to Mineral Springs again to practice teach. Squeaky Carson is begging Santa for a book entitled “How to Study, “Reznicks For Records” R E Z NI C K ’ S Complete Stock of Records & Sheet Music Across From State Theatre 440 N. Liberty Dial 2-1443 in Three Short Chapters”. Lee Rosenbloom wants a com plete set of the works of Thomas Tickell, emminent writer, so she can continue research in the 18th century. Cackie Pearson wants a blind date for the Christmas festivities in Gastonia. Sis Honeycutt hopes Santa will bring her the sheet music to "Care less Hands”, for use in her spring recital. Jess Byrd has advised Cl inky Clinkscales to ask for a subscrip tion to True Confessions Magazine to use as a model for her future composition papers. Nancy Florance wants to find a copy of George Santayana’s Phi losophy and Metaphysics under her tree. Bill Greene, noted homemaker, wants a nice easy recipe for three- minute boiled eggs. She has also been very active on the May Day Committee, serving as chairman of the dance committee last year. After their marriage. Muggins and George will live in Chapel Hill where George is a Junior at Caro lina. Muggins plans to continue her studies at Salem until the end of the semester and then join Geo rge in his studying Spring quarter at Chapel Hill.
