O. Huntley of Lenoir. Alfred is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Hamer of Morganton, and is a student in the medical college of the University of North Carolina. Diane is a member of the junior class. While at Salem, she has been active in the Pierrettes, having the lead in The Would-Be Gentleman last faU. The wedding will take place in Lenior on June 18th. | Dance To Feature|J (Cpntinued from Pace One) on other things. The band, she hopes, will wear turbans. Jack Carter, who played at the Christ mas Dapce, will return by popular demand. Barbara White will sing three songs—and more, we hope. The girls who check the tickets will be dressed in Arabian cost umes. The chaperones will be Mr.' and Mrs. Jacobowsky, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Britt. Mr. Britt, of course, will be master of ceremonies. Ann wanted me to remind every one about the privileges that are on trial this year. We can go on front and back campus during the dance, but not off campus. We’ll also be allowed to spend the night out in town. If you plan to do this, be sure to check the hand book. The dance starts at nine and ends at twelve, but all those who are staying here have late permis sion until 1:00. However, we must be at the dance' by 10:30 to receive this permission. Oh, yes, don’t forget the Sopho more Midnight Snack after the dance. Those kids are really hep ped up on the subject, so its bound to be nice. If they “approach” you, buy a ticket. The whole I. R. S. sends out a plea for volunteers to help deco rate, to help come, and to help enjoy. The whole thing sounds wonder ful. See you there. Swimming Rules (Continued from page four) b.
