Mr. Hyatt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Perry Hyatt of Cherokee, N. C. Emily, who is head of the May Day Committee as well as a member of the May Court, produced and directed the Junior and Senior Follies. Emily and Boh will he married in the late summer and will live in New Haven, Connecticut, where Bob is attending Yale Divinity School and where Emily will teach primary education. "Y” Auction Big Success Long Don Britt, Salem’s one- , armed auctioneer, spurred the j Y. W, C. A. Auction on Tuesday. J The program opened with the door prize (an antique chair in stead of a door this time) going to Mr. Robert L. Wendt. The articles auctioned ranged from food to a jewel case made in Korea. Food articles composed a large part of the items auctioned: Gloss Jennette bought a box of fudge made by Emma McCotter and Mary E. McClure; Dr, and Mrs. White’s dinner was purchased by Bebe Boyd; Libby Norris and Nancy Walker bought brownies and fudge. Three highlights of the auction were Mrs. Scott’s spaghetti dinner bought by Bootie Spencer, Mr. Wendt’s cake purchased by Anis Ira, and Mr, Campbell’s picnic pur chased by five freshmen headed by Hila Moore. The music students bid on Mr. Heidemann’s pizza supper. (His oven only has room for four now.) Miss Covington’s steak dinner feat uring romantic setting, modern chaperonage and former references went to Mary Hadley Fike. The amount made was $114.75 in Tuesday’s auction. The total amount is $269.50. Another auction will be held in chapel on Tuesday, March 13. Elections (Continued From Paffe One) I Mr. and Mrs. John R.
