The Lean With The Wind By Frank Kinnedy Why fight changes? The change may be for the better. It is easier to lean with the wind than try to go against it. A fresh breeze is blowing in hairstyles. It is toward more feminine and fluffier hair fashions. While ' still short, fashion /A / leaves a flat, shingled outline—and it smiles on those who wear free blown, curly creations which are dressy and flattering. "I’m hoping to go to a girl scout, camp near Roaring Gap. How some Salem girls will visit me in Copenhagen for three or four days. After that, I will get some work.” And what do you think of Salem ?( “1 like Salem. I’ve had a grand time, in fact that’s all I’ve had. Monitor signs off with another of its week-end visits. Now bacK to Bob and Ray in New York. —Betsy Gatling Terry, let the student body glimpse into their “Salem dream life”. It .seems this Salem of the subcons cious w'as composed of apartments instead of rooms. No conveniences were overlooked with a telephone in every room and rugs on the floors. Sarah Wray made the dream school quite real and received many good laughs when she proposed, “Let’s petition!” after the rumor was .spread that there would be “more than one class per week”. All good dreams must end and so it happened when the freshmen 'as well as the rest of the student body woke up from the “Dreamy Skit” to the reality of Salem as we have it now. But why should the freshmen worry? Galloway and Jeane Humphrey have ! gver, it’s not at all definite, and decided to brave the distance , and be counselors at Boyn Afon Camp there. Mary Jane and Curt are going to teach archery; Shirley, Redlack will teach swimming; and Jeane will be a water skiing ^in structor. I’ll have to wait and see.” And what is your opinion of Salem, Miss Osuna?, “It’s one place where I have had a lot of fun. Everybody has been so friendly. 1 never thought it 1 would be like this.” COLLEGE INN RESTAURANT AND SPAGHETTI HOUSE For The Best In SIZZLING STEAKS — SPAGHETTI PIZZA — SALADS PRIVATE DINING ROOMS FOR BANQUETS AND PARTIES BETWEEN WAKE FOREST AND WINSTON-SALEM ON REYNOLDA ROAD PHONE 2-9932 You Are Invited To Visit The ‘DEACON’S DEN iSlatt^feeUcr Hy Q—the brilliant scholar tells how to stretch your dollar Greyhound’s the way to go— saves you time as well as dough!
