Display Work
Mr. Edwin Shewmake, head of
the art department, has announced
that the annual exhibit of student
studio art work is now on display
in Memorial Hall and Main Hall.
Everyone taking studio art is
represented in this exhibit which
is composed mostly of water colors
with a few canvasses of oil.
The Rondthaler Award for out
standing work in art was chosen
from this display which contains
all of the entries. The actual win
ning pictures are displayed some
where in the two buildings.
An interesting entry found in the
display is a wood cut by Janet
Garrison which is named The Trio.
Janet sketched the Salem College

the studio and worked out the
wood cut.
