Dr, Lawrence Stell, the pas tor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, will present a “Christmas Meditation”. To further enhance the program, the lovely, “Low, How A Rose E’er Blooming” will be sung by a sextet of seniors: Frankie Cuningham, Martha Goddard, Jean Smitherman, Jane Leighton Bailey, Margaret Fletcher, and Mary Thaeler. Dur ing the service the scented Mora vian candles will be lit by the robed seniors and their traditionally white-clad sophomore pages. “An gels We Have Heard on High” will serve as the seniors’ carol. Senior Vespers, being Salem’s only official Christmas service, is of special significance. The ban quet W'ill be held in the Dining Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday night, December 18. The Choral Ensemble will sing and Santa Claus will high light the evening by giving the gifts to the children and to the seniors. These people will be able to hear the program during the banquet with the aid of micro phones, and afterwards will be able to come upstairs to watch the pre sents being given out. The theme is still a deep dark secret which only the sophomores know. We all are looking forward to a delicious banquet and holiday entertainment next Thursday night. IRS Dance Promises To Be A Success Breaking the tradition of Christ mas green and red, the Christmas Dance tomorrow night will trans form the gym into a Pink Fantasy. The theme of the dance, the Nut cracker Suite, will also be used to introduce the IRS Council members during the intermission. Music will be furnished by David Hyatt, whose orchestra is especially popular in the Winston-Salem area this Christmas season.
