E., et. al. Dear Readers: as you will readily recall our heroic heroine Lisa Lucille Long and her frequently feverish friends Susie Smith and Becky Bagley were enroute to a rougishly rude rendezvous at the locally famous Ye Old Ice Cream Shoppe in Lisa’s perfectly passionate purple-pink 1923 Packard. Lisa, all 4’ 11” of her, was dressed in an absolutely abominable outfit of assimulated alligator, fringed with albino alley-cat. The effect was quite remarkable, as the shade made her usually uck eyes a little less ucky and a little more livid. Over her stringently straight stringy hair, Lisa had pulled a softly sloped sloppy brim hat. She wore her nicely neon night shades (to aid in enabling her to be inconspicuous). She sent Susie back into the dorm to change her deplorably domestic dress. Susie had soon surrendered, as she almost always did, to Lisa’s petulant pedantics. Smith seemed simply simpering as she sprang from the door—gone was the gen teel gray-green of her dull dress, in its place was the ruddy glow of rustic- red (a new spring—or was it fall shade—Susie could never be certain of such matters as Lisa had a famously fickle sense of fashion). Becky was suitably dressed in jeans (Becky meticulously bought, borrowed, and broke-in blue jeans) she considered it her solemn duty to the washing machine working women of America. A few words should be said about these constant companions, these faithful friends, these super supporters of the fearless leader—Lisa. This dvnamic-duo fif Batman and Robin, and Spiro and Dick will pardon the pun) are universallv unique! Their persistent pursuit of previous pur veyors in a nationally known novelty of noteworthy news coverage. They a’-e the selfless sou's that serve as suitable background on the fade-ins (and outs) of the questing camera in our fearless fighter and frequent fudger in the truest sense of the word)—our leading lady—Lisa L. Long. Becky S. Bagley (Rebecca Sunnybrook Bagley) presents a pleasant photo graphic contrast to LLL as they are exactly — positively and absolutely without the possible question of a doubt—exasperatingly exactly the same height! That is when LLL is standing in her Establishment Unlimited un-even elevator shoes and when Becky is sitting in her white whistler’s wicker rocker. Exactly, evenly, undeniably matched to the 100th of an infuriating inch. Becky’s hair is beautifully and brilliantly blond (thanks to the kind consideration of Miss Clairol’s clever color (006J4). Her eyes are elusive as their fond, faraway focus is frequently frightening, for Becky’s eves are Blue and Brown (not the basic blue-brown of St. Bernards, but blue and brown—the right one is blue; the left one is brown. This con cept is further complicated by the confusion of contrasting contacts, which enable Becky to blend her beautiful orbs with contrasting colors to create a youthful shade of yellow). The combination is certainly sensational! There is absolutely nothing, naught, nil, I repeat nothing boring about Becky! Now I must turn your tentative attention to Susie — sweet, soothing Susie Smith. Soothing to the soul (and to the sufferer of symptoms of strained sight after one’s engaging encounters with Lisa and Becky) Susie is a blessed serenity, a cessation of conflict (her mind’s eye) in other words; to quickly cut to the heavenly heart of the messy matter Susie is normal—that is to say for all practical purposes she isn’t abnormal! that is if one considers 5 foot two-eyes-of-blue normal. She is, however, un necessarily neat! But more about that later. Standing on the stone steps surrounding Serenity-C, Lisa is overheard saying—‘‘Hurry Smith! Are you pittling a Packard or a pick-up? The time; Bagley, what’s the time ? ‘‘Sorry LLL, this detrimental detainment has delayed your dinner.” ‘‘Drat 1” Will thi» unfortunate delay hinder our heroines? Will Lisa solve the puzzle? Will Susie get a speeding ticket for traveling too fast? Will she get a parking ticket for traveling too slow? Wait and Watch for next week’s installment—‘‘Only The Shadow Knows!"
