Tennis Team in Training Page 3, The Salemite, March 5,1982 Salem’s 1982 tennis team is in spring training. The eight members, coached by Libby Gibboney, practice Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., plus the team plays one match weekly. Members are Spencer Brugh, Margaret Adams, Mimi Shaw, Julie Medlin, Amy Shafer, Sherry McMillan, Tricia Pat terson and Joann Yue. This season Salem will meet Queens, Greensboro College, St. Mary’s, Meredith, Wingate, Converse and Davidson. The NCAIAW State Tournament will be at St. Mary’s in April. Home matches will be March 23 at 2 p.m. against St. Mary’s and April 12 at 2 p.m. against Davidson. Around the Square Salemite The next edition of The Salemite will be published on April 9 due to the selection of 1982-83 officers which will take place at the end of March. Publications Board will review applications for office and select new officers March 29. Past officers will serve as assistants to the incoming officers throughout the semester. Pierrettes to Present Drama Equestrians The Pierrettes will perform “As You Like It” on April 2 and 3 at 8:15 p.m. and on April 4 at 7:30 p.m. Roberta Hoyle, Pierrette’s president, feels that “Shakespeare has been particularly difficult to work with. We have worked hard and would appreciate your support.” This play is a comic love story, written by Shakespeare. The storyline involves Orlando’s in fatuation with Rosalind. Orlando tries to get her at tention by hanging love poems about her on trees. After reading these poems Rosalind becomes attracted to Orlando. Political problems between the Dukes . in the area puts tension on their relationship. Riders who plan to show are Clai Miller, Kelly Solms, Libby Knight, Allison Benton, Lydia Burns, Susan Miller, Hale Sneeden, Terri Rushatz, Cathy Cass, and Meg Weant. Folk Band The Tannahill Weavers, a reknown Scottish folk band, will present a program Mar. 10 at 8:30 p.m. in Shirley Recital Hall. Admission.
