This one is Trom our ov/n home town. And in our minds he wears the crown. Ho was a gunner on a Flying Port, He thought shooting Gormans was more than a sport. Hq worked his way up from the lowest start; Although, once in a v;hile things looked miglity dark. He was sent to England one cold dark morn. There to him this thought v/as born; The thought of shooting Germans or bust, Bernice, the boy v/e trust. This he did again and again iintil our hero met his end. LIBBY PHILLIPS, »43, is doing her part in the war by helping .nake parts for air planes at the Eastern Aircraft in Baltimore, JANIE GLOVER, '43, works with the tele- .F-''.'ne company at Ra leigh, while her hus band, V/ilbur Finch, an alumnus, is stationed at Bermuda as a radio man for the navy, IRENE BISSETTE, just home from a vacation in California, visited the school during March, MARTIN LILES, '43, now attending Green Briar Military School, visited the SiChool this month.
