December 13. 1946 CLASS SUPPLEMENTS BOOK MATERIAL In connection with their study of the Southeastern section of the ■ United States, Mrs. Laurine Las siter's commercial geogra phy class sent to the Uni ted States Department of Agriculture and important Southeastern cities for in formation relative to their subject, Gladys Phillips, finding no information on tung oil in the library, sent to the Department of Agricul ture for material to help her in a class report. This material will be fil ed in the library for fu ture use. NORTH CAROLINA Page 3 Average Conduct Gode Higher Than Sul^ect Grade Tvvolf-th grade girls with 94 and ninth grade boj^s with .90 lead the high school in conduct averages for the second grading period. Although the ninth boys are second in conduct grades, their ab sentee list amounts to 51 for the last four weeks of the six-week term. Since the ninth and eleventh girls' averages are 93 each, they tie for second place. Twelfth boys with 89 are second among the boys. The high school's average subject grades are 82 and 85 for boys and girls re spectively. Having the highest aver age are tv/clfth boys -with 82 and eleventh girls v;ith 87. The drop in the average I grade is the result of few er honor roll students for this reporting period.
