Fifth HasValentine Box
The fif*th grade had an
enjoyable time on February
14. We had a Valentine box.
covered with white paper
with hearts and cupids of
red. Each child received
many, many valentines. Yt'e
used the dollar vie had won
at PTA to buy ice cream.
This wasn't enough money
so we had to take some
other out of the treasury.
Wc have a chart in our
room about the seven basic
foods which we have been
studying. We are trying to
learn v/hat kinds of foods
are best for us to eat
every day so that vie can
be strong and healthy boys
and girls. Some of the
foods we should eat are
green and yellow vegeta
bles, fruits, and other
vegetables, milk, meat or
meat substitutes such as
eggs and beans, bread or
cereals, and butter or mar
garine .
