There are 27 second grad ers in her room. Ivhny of them havs brothers or sis ters with TJhom he plays when at home. The games he enjoys are ball, marbles, jump-rope, hiding, check ers, Old Maid Cards, cow boys, and Ring Around the Roses. It was found that the child enjoys reading at home and likes fairy talcs, animal stories, and conics. NOVIESMDIO, FUNNIES PROVE POPULAR The average child goes to the movies about once cr twice a week. His favorite movies are, "Bells of St, Ivory’s," ''Lassie Comes Home", ‘'Smokey", '’Courage of Lassie", "Sun Valley Serenade*', "National Vel vet”, "Three Little Girls in Blue’’, and ''Blue Skies'*. Every child seems to en joy the radio and the following, arc the programs enjoyed: Lone Ranger, Judy Canova, Jack Benny, Phil Harris, Breakfast Fro lic, Date "ith Judy, and vi'hen a Girl I.Iarrics. The favorite songs heard on the radio are ''Sioux City Sue'', "Open the Door Richard", ''Old Susanna*', •'It Had to Be You, ''Phil- lipino Baby', 'Ols Butter milk Skies", "Blue Skies", and '''Rainbow at Midnight". The "funnies" the child likes best arc Orphan -innie, Blondic, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Super Ifen, Smiling Jack. The travel oxporicnces of the group vrero found limited. Only four had ever been on a street c'^r, a boat, or had visited a greenhouse, zoo, or dairy. Ts70 had been to a fire- house and museum. One had been to ride on an air plane. The class was served punch and cookies by their grademothrrs, Mrs. Luther Batts and Mrs. Brooks Pri- vette.
