One day last week an air
mail letter came to the
office requesting the re
cord of a student vjho had
been in school up until
1939. This person vras be
ing considered for a job.
Hot knowing the former stu
dent, I had to get all my
information from the files.
You can imagine my dismay
vrhen the records showed
that this person dropped
out of school in the
eighth grade vidthout hav
ing a subject rating re
corded. That was the rec
ord and that was the infor
mation which had to be
sent. Did he get the job?
I do not know. ¥y guess
would be that he did not
if it was a job requiring
