body agrees that the
chapel programs to date
have added spice weekly
to the school activities.
The seniors opened the
year’s programs with a
speaker, Frank Zedick,
Baptist minister.
STEPHEN FOSTER
Stephen Foster was
brought to life through
his songs sung and panto-
mined by the juniors.
The sophomore A group had
lii-year-old Jimmy Bras
well, a ventriloquist
from Wilson.
The sophomore B group
gave a scene enacted in a
Paris Hat Shoppe when a
woman goes to buy a hat.
VARIETY PROGRAl^
The two freshmen, classes
combined to present a
variety program con
sisting of’ the History of
the Flay, National Anthem,
Monologue, Vocal Solo,
Negro Sermon, and Balloon
Dance.

Curtains Coming
In The Near Future
That curtains for the
auditorium windows, guar
anteed by the Continental
School Equipment Company,
will be put up in the near
future is the report com
ing Ifrom the principal.
Advantages that will re
sult from the addition of
the curtains are already
apparent.
When necessary, all rooms
will be able to see a film
at one time.
The appearance of the au
ditorium will be improved.
The heat and the glare of
the sun pouring in through
the bare windows will be
in part eliminated.
Parsons Motor Company, by
giving a check for |18,
made it possible for the
finance committee of the
PTA to purchase a new pi
ano with the funds receiv
ed from the Halloween Car
nival.
When the $56? net re
ceipts of the carnival
were turned in, the com
mittee lacked $18 being
able to pay cash for the
piano. The deficit was
met by Parsons Motor Com
pany,
PliESENTATION
The piano was purchased
in time to be presented at
the November meeting of
the PTA.
Mrs. Helen Murray headed
the committee appointed to
purchase the piano.
Company Donates
Markers To School
Three metal Policeman
Safety Zone Markers have
been donated to Bailey
School by the Coco-Cola
Company of Wilson through
Mrs. R, G. L. Edwards.
The markers will be
placed on the highway in
front of the school to
slow down traffic and make
it safer for the children.
They were presented to
the school from the stage
at Mrs. Edwards' chapel
program, November 11,
