Principal M, W, Weaver,
retiring president of the
Nash County unit of the
NCEA, just before handing
over the gavel to his suc
cessor, was presented a
life-time membership in
the National Education
Association and a silver
pitcher at the annual As
sociation Banquet in the
iiailey cafeteria last .
Thursday evening.
Weaver received the mem
bership award for his pro
fessional work in the
organization this year.

heads the slate of PTA

became president without
any opposition.
Assisting him during
these months of work and
planning vrill be Mrs.
Pearlie Horton, serving as
vice-presidentj Mrs. R. G.
L. Edwards, as secretaryj
and Mrs. M. B. Glover, as
treasurer.
The officers will appoint
the Executive Committee
for the comming year.
During the summer the
officers. Principal Weaver,
and the Executive Commit
tee will meet to plan work
and name committees for
the next school year.
