This event Jffill. be an important milestone in the life of each one of you. As you look back over your twelve years of school work, it is our sincere hope that' you feel that you have got ten as much from it as you could, that you did as good TTOrk as you are cap able of doing. To each one of you my hearty congratulations and best wishes for a prosper ous, happy and useful life. May the training received here stand you in good stead in all your worth while undertakings, DECREASE IN ENROLLMENT School membership in the district is causing con cern. The number of child ren attending Bailey has dropped from 590 the . first month to ^kl at the end of the eighth month. This is a drop of k9 stu dents, In the grades, 6? have dropped out or moved away, and 23 have left in the high school, making a total of 90, To take their places, 35 pupils have come in for the grades and U in the high school. This gives us a loss of 32 children in the grades. That is where it really hurts, EXPRESSED APPRECIATION To all of you teachers, students, and patrons, I give my sincere thanks for all that you have done to make this school year a success. The big things that you do are important KehGar^al Under Way For ^ GI6ss Night PagR 3 "The Futtire Train," play- pageant for class, night, is now in full swing with rehearsals of cast, accord ing to Mrs. Howard Farmer, director, of..the production. The play, sponsored by the seniors, is scheduled for presentation Friday evening. May lU. Assisting Mrs, Farmer in the production is Mrs. Helen P. Murray, public school mxisic diredtor. In theory, as the title suggests, members of the graduating class are get ting ready to catch the train into the future. Track signs point the way to business. Army, college, marriage, and other pro fessions, in getting a job done, but quite often the little • things are appreciated al most as much and are al most as important. The little courtesies,the con siderations given in time of stress, the continual tr^g to do the right things, trying to be in the right place at the right time all add up to a successful school year, A happy summer vacation to each of you.
