Bailey Bugle. Bailey. North Carolina, ffey 19^ Additionol feoctierlJepends On Stuiients, Porents Special editorail-—I'fery Ella Glover Lack of interest and co operation on the part of some students and parents has denied the high' school from having an additional ta^icher next year. The loss by the small margin of 2,h students reveals all the more how a little more concerted effort would have changed 'the story. The 'drop in enrollment attributed its share to the low average, but an even greater factor was the indifference of a num ber of students* This added teacher could have been the answer to the requests of some stu dents and parents for ad ditional subjects. Too , some of the heavily loaded teachers could have been relieved somewhat. This year is past. What about next year? Now is the time for parents and students to resolve that this year’s history will not repeat itself, that Bailey School shall have what the majority of the students are striving for, sufficient teachers for sufficient teaching, BOARD ADDS Isr WOMAN At their April meeting, the County Board of Edu cation appointed ttrs, Ru pert Perry to fulfill the unexpired position of her deceased husband on the Bailey School Board, According to Principal M, W, Weaver, I'frs, Perry is probably Bailey’s first lady boaivi member.
