C5EPT.ArTRACT5 TWO STATE student TEACHERS Boys Aid Community Various community pro jects have received help from Bailey FFA’ers over the past seven ' and'a half months. Members of each class had a "big"‘ hand in painting the Bailey fire station, A few of the boys, under the advice of J» H, Wellsj helped in beginning work on the boy scout hut. "To get the job started is the hardest part to do," 'says Mr, Wells, "so I think our boys deserve special rec ognition, " Boys in the White Oak Hill community will work this year to remove fire hazards from homes and farms, a new project adopted by the community in connection with the Rural Community Improve ment contest, sponsored by Peoples Bank and Trust Co, of Rocky Mount, N. C, State students, George C, Rj^-chardson from Durham County and Joseph W. Woodard of Spring Hope did their practice teach ing with the first-year agriculture boys during the fall seittester. Both pros'i^ec'tive teachers have served jtwo years in the Army, 'Mr. Richardson earned his B, S, Degree in soils in 19Sh at State, where he and Mr, V/oodard are now seeking B, S,*s in Agricultural Education, WELIS NAMED V-PRES, J, H. Both the Junior and Chapter degrees were presented to the girls at the Nash-Franklin bi-coun- ty rally held, this year, in Nashville, Bailey's population is 1,000 people,
