BAILEY BUGLE...BAILEY.NORTH CAROLBTA^ APRIL. 1961 £AC:E_1_ PRINCIPAL PsEPORTING Another year has come and gone. Miat do we have to show for it? The Seniors have the culmination of twelve years of study. They have reached one of their important milestones. Graduation is an important goal. It is a time for looking back and taking stock, but mon important it is a time for looking ahead and making plans. To the Sehiors we extend sin cere congratulations and best wishes for the future. All graduates who have the ability to take a college education owe it to them selves and to their coun try to put forth every ef fort to get that education. It may not be true in all cases that "where there is a will, there is a way", but many students make no effort to go to college vdien the financial means are available* Seniors, pursue every course at your disposal before giv ing up on the idea of at tending college. The other classes have matured and advanced one year. Nothing keeps us from getting a yoar older but ve often keep our selves from getting a year ■viserc Too many times we refuse to do the work re quired in order to make the normal progress of ^'jhich V73 are capable. Let urge that all of ns put our best foot forward and ourgeon out,,.. To cur teachers go my ohanks for a job well done. No s.;hool can accomplish Its purpose iirithout a ded- icatud faculty. The Bailey Schpcl staff is xrell trai’^ed, it is cooperative and it is interested in the welfare of the chil dren. The Bailey School patrons are due a major share of the credit for the success of the school program. Through the P, T, A, and other activities sponsored by the school, the parents lend their support and a helping hand. We appreci ate your moral and finan cial support. If we are to keep p^cn with the educa tional needs of our chil dren, some changes will have to be made. Keep these needed changes in mind, think them through, and solve them on the basis of what is good for the children of our commun ity rather than on the prejudicof> of the older people, Thxs column would like to pay tribute to our retir ing Superintendent, Mr, L.
