C„ JUNE 2, 1944 50 Cents a Year Photographed by Bob Powell, '42 “The star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” This flag was presented to the Goldsboro High School in the spring of 1942 by Post 11 of the American Legion. The pole was presented by Post 11 in the spring of 1937. During the year 1943-1944 Talbot Parker was chairman of the SA committee that had charge of raising and lowering the flag each school day.
